empallinthis is theory on top of therory so from the start it doesnt make sense and its an old idea in my head that never gets shared because some of the proper descriptors are missing. its the idea not the words.
for several years now i have been watching these shows covers rods. since no one seems to know what they are they get lumped in with ufo research paranormal research and according to wikipedia cryptozoology. those are all well and good but none of those are right. i think it would be more accurate to lump them in with atmospheric physics. i think the rods are only seen by video cameras because they dont have brains that have been trained to filter them out. so on camera they can be seen as tricks of light as they would have a diffferent make then then normal air. i suspect it will be found that they are common gasses.
you know how you can see the heat rising off the pavement on hot summer days?
you know how water splashes then ripples when you throw a body into it?
you know how a car sends pieces flying when hit by a truck?
you know those cool layered mixed drinks?
mix all of that and thats where to start.
the heat rising is the major basic factor here and the closet thing to what i think it really is. but i know nothing about it other than seeing it.
i choose a body because of limbernes. a rock creats one set of ripples. a body could easily create multiple sets. hands feet head torso. thus creating lots of splashing. dont think diving. think a clumsy toss. now think about the wind blowing trough a wilderness area which from the footage i have see seems to be a popular place for them
the parts of a car go in all differrent directions but you can collect them and make them into a car again. not the same car but still a car. so this splash sends the gasses that we call air flying in all directions and eventually they become air again but for a bit they are either a chunck of a pure gas or a combination of less then normal mixtures until they reach the point of no longer rippling. but an air ripple would have to be different than a water ripple. or a watered down ripple for that matter.
i know that doesnt make a whole hell of a lot of sense but then im not one who holds those skills. but thats the chips.
