empallinso there are a couple of questions that have come up recently. so this will be my attempt to answer them for those who are curious. should be a shorter post than most of my recent ones but every bit as "special."
what's the story with my user id?
this dates back to about '94. possibly earlier. when i was working on the packages for the kingdom of happy gloom, i signed several thing as Emp. Allin. a very simple double meaning. the first part being a shortened form of emperor. i know it know not make sense to be an emperor of a kingdom but since it is a nonterritorial domain, the point is mute. all rules are null and viod. the other side of it is the pronunciation. i have always been somewhat impish. causing complete chaos smiling all the way is very much in my nature. doing it just for the fun of it. ask around, you will not find any detracters. it is one of the things i do better than most people would prefer. sorry. anyway it stuck when i signed on with my first account and has basically been the same since. i have to do my part to make peoples' lives a little more surreal.
why do i alway sign off with dammit?
this may come as a suprise to some but this is a family tradition. dammit (insert name) is a very popular phrase. i head it enough as a child. my mother saying it to my dad. granny to grandpa. then as i got older i had it said to me more times than i could even begin to count. usually it is said after some actions similar to the above. but it is not always said with love. mostly, it is said in frustration and for lack of a better word. it can usually be translated to 'settle you as down. now." so i figured i would save people the effort and just sign all of my emails with that. if you received one that says something different, you should consider your self as very special.
send pictures of you cat, so they can be included in the "kitty empire" but be warned there are darker motives with this.
