911timeline.net has the text of a lawsuit filed against goerge w bush and others for basically dropping the ball on the advanced warning of the attack that has beed filed by one of the victims of the attack. she is probably not going to win it but a few things kinda struck me about it. the first being that i am surprised that this has been turned into a class action lawsuit. i am not saying it should or shouldnt just that it hasnt. the not so surprising part is that this lawsuit hasnt received any real press that i can account for. i am sure it wouldnt even if she one. after so long its only so much paper. anyway bush will probably be dead before this ever gets out of the courts. you know they wont settle this one. why settle when you own the judge? the text is also available for download in pdf form if you go to the site.
nullsoft has an article up on winamp.com about a descion that has been made by the courts. once again it has been ruled that service providers are not responsible for the actions of their users. in this case the service providers are peer-to-peer networks (ie kazaa, limewire, edonkey, etc etc etc). maybe this will settle the issue for a while because i am tired of downloading new software for the next network to pop up once one gets beat to death buy the mpaa and riaa
after you get done reading that article why dont you just hop on over to the section of the site where you can download the most requested features and plug-ins for winamp. i actually found several pretty damn useful ones. the one that i was most excited to find was the one that allowed winamp to play .mov files. fucking mac users. i hate quicktime so bad. it had its day now somebody please take it out and shoot it.
also does anyone have a copy of the install for winamp 4? it seems that they went from three to five with out that middle step. did it suck that bad? i mean yeah three sucked balls and five is not much better but what happened?

if you are a real fan what you need to do is go out and buy the spine. then go online order the spine surfs alone since you more than likely cannot get it in stores. or you could download it. then you need to go download the spine hits the road which is all live tracks from the tour supporting the album. because that is the only way you can get it. no its not cheap being a fan but that does not mean it is any less fun. unless you are say a smiths or hüsker dü fan.
oh yeah speaking of the smiths and such...attached to the front of the september issue of blender magazine is a cd label true music. on this cd is a bunch ofcrappy bands. none of any real exception except for the streets and morrissey. the morrissey song is i like you of of the you are the quarry album. so if you already have the album you are not missing anything. but if you are big ol collector nerd you might want to get it. and no i dont make a habit of reading blender. especially after that 50 worst songs thing they did some months back that got turned into a lj meme and a vh1 special.
those of you who perhaps spend too much time in bars may be familiar with some game machine made by merit industries inc. they have several different versions but basically the machines have a bunch of different games you can play for 25¢ or 50¢. cards games trivia games etc. any way on these machines is a game called take2 that i i am trying to find for home use. if you have any idea on where i can find this monster please feel free to share it. or ill kick you ass. i already checked the website and they do not sell it for home use but i am sure the game is available from somewhere else by a different name.

allism sent me. well i was going to play in one day but the link she had sent me was no longer valid. so i went looking for it. what i found was a page that did a play by play of all of the different version of this odd little game. most important of all of them was the original because there are all kinds of other fun games on the site.
somehow in the middle of this i ended up on all kinds of random game sites. if you decide to go to technetguru or miniclip make sure you version of flash is up and running fine because that is a sucky download to have to do unplanned. yes i would like to pass on that cup of hot sucky.

well start off with a guide to firefox extensions. i havent really looked at this but i havent really felt like messing with the plugins for it yet. and for those who havent noticed firefox just released version 1.0PR or something like that. why would you want to tweak your browser anyway? moreso who would want to spend time tweaking their browser? aside from me and about half the people i know.
speaking of tweaking how does the concept of using gmail as a blogging tool sound. ok so its still in beta. this tool but yeah gamil too. want gmail invites? itll cost you sexual favors. or you could just ask. anyway how many damn tools are going to be attached to gmail before it even gets out of beta? dammit.

she also sent another link from bash.org that contains one of those questions that we all ask at one time or another. jesus can we please get a goddamn answer here?
ok because i am a moron and cant remember the password for my domain we got to talking about that. after i sent her the whois on it and started bitching about not being able to get access to it because all of the information is either wrong or uh not quite true she sent me a link to a law that got passed (warning pdf) that basically makes it illegal to provide false information during the process of registering a domain. dont worry. i did it before the law happened. and there are such obvious loop holes in it that it is almost painful.
and after all this she sent me a link that explains why she sends me all of these links. it is from a ng posting by some guy named linus torvalds. whoever the hell he is. any way she said the last line was her explanation. it says "(only wimps use tape backup: _real_ men just upload their important stuff on ftp, and let the rest of the world mirror it ;)". i am not sure what she is trying to say there.
ok so back to my part of the post. if you dont mind.
i have this piece of crap lexmark all-in-one that i am about ready to toss. the scanner part of it has been doing all kinds of screwed up crap. so i figure i would dowload and reinstall the driver for it and maybe that would fix it. it didnt. any way there was this one file for it that kinda pissed me off. and i quote: "this patch corrects a problem where the scanner will not scan and makes a clicking noise for windows 98/me/2k/xp." do what?! no you see that is not a problem that can be fixed with software no matter how much you seem to think otherwise. and if that many people have had the problem that they are actually doing something about it then it is a big fucking problem with their x1150 model. bastids. a clicking noise. what is it a zip drive?* yes i installed it. yes mine still clicks.
while doing some searching for something else i came across a willow wavs page that some of you might be interested in. i am only about half way interested in it. that is for willow the movie not willow the flute fucker. while on the same search i came across a page of wavs for a movie called support your local sheriff that i now think i have to see. also at the bottom of that page are links to other cult movie wav pages they made. worth a look.
marvel has this page of wallpapers you can download but something is just wrong with it. i would expect a comic book company to have a little more creativity in their out put than what this page shows. i know thay are giving the stuff away and might not want to put that much work into it but it still reflects on the company. neopets shows more creativity in the wallpapers they mave. and no i am not saying i could do any better but i am not the one getting paid to do the stuff. so nah! that complaint aside there are a few that are pretty damn cool.
