as a side note both of these movies came out on video and dvd today and the dvd's can be purchased together from amazon for $41.98 saving you almost a dollar and not having any shipping and handling because your total is more that $25. this is listed on the rugrats information page linked above.
Rugrats Go Wild (2003)
all the things you loves about the rugrats. the babies. dr lipschitz. spike. voices by tim curry and flea (of the red hot chili peppers). wait they don't do voices on the rugrats. they do voices on the wild thornberrys. that is right this movie is where the rugrats meet the thornberrys. and the trouble onlygets worse from there. because of the fact that eliza can talk to animals they had to get a real voice for spike. they got bruce willis. i am not really a big fan of his but in this case his voice fits the character quite well. one thing that does not fit well is a kid friendly version of iggy pop's 'lust for life'. yeah it fits into the movie but in the grand scheme of things it is just wrong. there are a few other musical numers that the movie could do with out but not enough to take away from the value of the film. in the long run the thing that will be most annoying about this film is the series of numbers that appear on screen in relation to a scratch and sniff card that is suppose to come with it. as long as you can look past that you too will live happily ever after outside of the circle of chaos.

Freaky Friday (2003)
another remake of another movie i never saw. nope never saw any of the previous versions. unless one of them is really different than this i apparently didn't miss much. it is not so much that this is a bad movie. it is more that is very unoriginal and mediocre. it is nothing new. nothing exciting. it is however entertaining in parts but still very predicable. it might keep the kids busy but not something you really want to watch with them.
