did you ever try  to warn them
how much you wanted that dream

this calm deadlike life

i always got shivers
during the night
from your soft whispers
of care and affection
your hand on my skin
touching my heart
i always got that feeling
like everything was fine
i was going to be ok
but the daylight would come
waking up alone
the feeling faded
and the noise came back
so i had to fight
to make it back there
one more time
to hear that whisper
feel that touch
that eased my head
