something happened on the way to that place they threw an american flag in our face

so i have been watching the news and have a bunch of questions, like most of us do, but one thing has me really stumped. how is that a protester can be arrested and only charged with resisting arrest? ok i am not a lawyer or anything but i would think there would have to be an arrest and charge already in the works before someone could resist arrest. i just really don't get that.

also might i suggeest that those of you who are not follow richmackin's journal. it's better than television in times like these.
